The Jaguar XK series is a grand touring car produced British automaker Jaguar since 1996. The series was fifth at the Geneva Motor Show March 1996 presented. The first generation of the series, the XK8 replaced the XJS, and was in coupe and convertible. The XK8, the first 8-cylinder vehicle produced by Jaguar was when the Jaguar AJ-V8 was introduced.

The second generation XK was launched in 2006. The new XK introduced an aluminum unibody, and is available in two-door coupe and two-door cabriolet convertible is available, will be carried forward only to the motor and associated mechanical.

Jaguar XK8/XKR (1996-2006)

The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced – a coupe and a convertible. The car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar’s new V8 engine – the AJ-V8. In 1998 the supercharged XKR has been accepted into the program.

Jaguar XK / XKR (2006-present)

The new XK designed Ian Callum, was unveiled in 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show. Ian said that the inspiration for the shape of the new XK came out of his admiration for curves British actress Kate Winslet. The XKR has has a maximum speed of 174 km per hour, the standard XK a top speed of 158 mph. The faster model XKR-S was introduced in 2012. The XKR-S has an additional 40 horsepower over the XKR experience with 0-60 mph time of just 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 300 km per hour a convertible version of the XKR-S has also been published.
