• Carbonization: in this case, the laser beam burns the paint and, as a result, makes it darker.
• Toning: This is the rarest case that depends on ink and laser and causes discoloration without ablation or carbonation.

The laser allows you to cut accurately and in record time, leaving clean-cut edges. Another advantage of the laser is its performance when working with multilayer films, as it allows you to cut several layers at the same time.

Application on Day / Night films

The so-called Day / Night laser marking application is applied to various types of backlit plastic components. This process is widely used in the automotive industry (for example, for switches and interior buttons of automobiles) and in consumer electronics. The laser performs a selective ablation process, removing surface layers from the part until the desired effect is achieved.
