Chevy Blazer
Chevy Blazer is a sport utility vehicle with a ancestry that goes back to 1969. The original Chevy Blazer was a full-size four-wheel-drive SUV based on a full-size Chevy pickup. With a tough truck chassis and available V8 power, Blazer known for its green everywhere raw abilities. Chevy Blazer has a nice restyling in 1973 and again in 1992. The full-size jacket evolved into the popular Tahoe SUV in 1994. The compact Blazer S-10 was introduced in 1983 and put into production by the model year 2004. Initially available as a two-door model only, a four-door version at the S-10 Blazer line in 1991 a more aerodynamic style S-10 Blazer arrived in 1995. Although the Chevrolet Blazer is no longer in production, use Blazer models readily available.
Chevy Blazer Configuration
The Chevy Blazer originally came in three trim lines: base, LS and LT. The base model starts with a little more than a radio, air conditioning and anti-lock brakes, but the LS characteristics most consumers expect added: power windows and locks, a tilt steering wheel, a folding rear seat and cruise control. The luxury four-door only LT upgraded leather upholstery, a power driver’s seat, a more upmarket stereo and an overhead console. A “groundbreaking” trim line with two-tone leather and unique styling, the new series topper in 1999 Chevrolet moved the trim levels in 2000, dropping the base model and de-contenting the LT. Model year 2001 arrived Blazer Xtreme. It 2WD, two-door model has a low-riding sports suspension, deep dish wheels, a monochromatic exterior and tinted windows.
Chevy Blazer Engine
The full size Chevrolet Blazer, the best models of the early 90s to watch will be those built from 1992 to 1994. This redesigned models are built using GM’s then new full-size truck platform. A 200-horsepower 5.7-liter V8-powered almost all Chevy Blazer of this generation, although a 6.5-liter turbo-diesel V8 with 180 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque was elective for 1994. The 4-wheel drive is the standard across the board.
