The Alfa Romeo 147 is a compact luxury car produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 2000 to 2010. The 147 was voted car of the year in Europe in 2001, ahead of the Ford Mondeo and the Toyota Prius. The Alfa Romeo 147 was launched in the year 2000 Turin Motor Show Motor to replace the rear window 145, and is based on the chassis of over 156 sedan. It was available with 1.6, 2.0 and 3.2 liter petrol and 1.9 liter diesel. The model has been in production for ten years, making it one of the oldest families in small cars on sale in Europe at the time of its replacement by the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in late May 2010.
