Acura painted the prototype Indy Yellow Pearl as a throwback to the Integra Type R’s early 2000s Phoenix Yellow color. The Honda automaker’s distinctive LED headlights and, Diamond Eye, LED headlights are also available. Acura did not share any details about the interior of the car, except to say that it comes with a manual transmission. Expect a Honda Civic-sized cabin with more luxurious trim and sporty seats.

Acura didn’t reveal power delivery figures for the new Integra, but they said the engine will be a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 that delivers at least 200 horsepower, like the Honda Civic Si. Acura will offer the car a manual transmission, but the automaker states that an automatic version will also come. Vehicles with manual transmissions get the Honda Civic Type R’s smart rev-fit function, which ensures that the engine speed matches the gear during gear shifts.

The Integra also gets a Type R mechanical limited-slip differential. Future versions of the Integra may see the Honda Civic Type R drive system. That means a turbocharged engine with at least 300 horsepower. This engine delivers a zero-to-60 km/h sprint of just 5.3 seconds and a quarter-mile of 13.7 seconds in the Honda Civic.
