The 2021 Acura RLX is a luxury / executive car manufactured by Honda and sold in the Acura division released in 2013, which has been a success in the RL. The RLX was discontinued in 2020. The 2021 RLX flies under the radar compared to its excellent rivals and descends from the road with a hybrid power train derived from its supercars. The outdated infotainment system and generic cabin design are easy to forget, but the robust build quality and outstanding fuel economy will satisfy buyers.
Along with the standard V-6 engine, there is a single hybrid model that works well and accelerates quickly. Still, the 2021 RLX is kind of challenging his best classmates. Acura has chosen not to make any significant changes to its RLX programming this year and has instead announced that it will suspend its luxury coat from 2020 onwards. The last major update was in 2018 when the company mercilessly designed the beak-shaped grille and added more desirable features.
2021 Acura RLX Interior
The RLX cabin is attractive and beautiful, the front and rear will find plenty of space. You will like comfortable seats and a long list of standard amenities. Leather upholstery, heat-adjustable seats, automatic three-zone climate control, adjustable steering wheel, interior lighting, and a light roof. The ordinary RLX offers 15 cubic meters of space in the trunk, while the battery of the Sport Hybrid model is reduced to 12 cubes.
Each 2021 RLX is equipped with an outdated infotainment system that is displayed via dual screens. Although rotating users and physical buttons are useful, the generic graphics experience and lack of contemporary features make it difficult. The 14-speaker ELS Studio audio system and integrated navigation are standard, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are lacking.
2021 Acura RLX engine
It is a standard 310 hp V-6 and comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive transmission. The regular RLX also has rear-wheel steering that helps improve corners. The Sport Hybrid model pairs a 3.5-liter V-6 with three electric motors that produce 377 horsepower. In fact, the hybrid power train is derived from those used in the Acura NSX supercar. The Sport Hybrid’s fast-paced and continuous operation made it possible to navigate the city’s streets or explode on straight highways. Unfortunately, RLX felt less athletic in turn, as most of his mass was up against him. Although Acura’s wheel-drive traction system (called SH-AWD) is designed to aid in handling, it’s not as comfortable on winding roads as it is on alternatives like the Genesis G80 and Jaguar XF, Repair garage door.
The 2021 RLX has two power trains that have different sets of EPA fuel economy ratings. The standard V-6 configuration will get 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Although the final number does not change in the RLX hybrid, the city’s rating increases significantly. The Sport Hybrid model has a 28 mpg city EPA, which is 4 mpg more than luxury alternatives like the Mercedes-Benz E-class and Audi A6.
