The 2020 S60 has three distinct EPA classifications that match different engine configurations. The T5 front-drive models are at 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The more powerful, T6-wheel-drive versions drop to 21 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. The T8 plugin hybrids are expected to gain 28 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. We only tested the previous traction T5 and all-wheel-drive models on the 200-kilometer fuel road economy route, which gained 37 mpg and 31 mpg respectively.
