2017 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a sports car produced by Chevrolet. The 2017 Corvette of the seventh generation was introduced for the model year 2014 as the first to bear the name Corvette Stingray of the model of the third generation in 1968. The first Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was delivered in the third quarter of 2013.
The new 2017 Corvette from the first day was a pioneer in the use of advanced materials. The new generation features include a carbon fiber hood and a removable roof panel. Its wings, doors and rear panels are made of fiberglass. The C7 uses an aerogel, a material developed by NASA, to prevent the heat from the transmission tunnel from moving into the cockpit. The Corvette C7 offers a seven-speed manual transmission by Tremec that implements the corresponding active revolution. Under 2017 Corvette Stingray hood and side openings and inlets contribute to cooling and aerodynamic stability. The interior features a driver screen that allows the driver to choose different ways with up to 69 different information sources, ranging from an interactive performance timer to a display of the tread temperature. Two seat options are available: a sport seat for daily use and a sports racing seat for driving the track with passages for a racing harness.
The new Corvette LT1 engine, the first in the Gen 5 Series 5 engine family, maintains the thrust rods that act on the design of the overhead valves. It uses direct fuel injection, active fuel management, and variable valve timing.
