The new 2016 Volvo XC90 has been fully redesigned with a new look, a new body structure and more efficient powertrains. Volvo is also introducing a plug-in hybrid version based on the same engine that an estimated 394 kW will make to accelerate be from zero to 60 mph in under 6 seconds and capable of only covering 17 miles on electric power . Although official figures are not yet available, the fuel consumption for the plug-in hybrid better than any other seven-passenger may be crossover or other luxury.

The same can be said of the BMW X5, which also offers a sober diesel engine option. For a crossover with more space, the Buick Enclave and Mercedes-Benz GL-class and boasts very spacious interiors with third-row seats adult friendly. But the 2016 Volvo XC90, rediscovered and new life, is a worthy competitor for the model year 2016.
