The Alfa Romeo 156 is a compact executive car produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 1997 to 2007. It was unveiled at the 1997 Frankfurt Motor Show as a replacement for the Alfa Romeo 155. The cars were assembled at Fiat Group factory in Pomigliano d’Arco, Italy and General Motors facility in Rayong, Thailand, The Alfa Romeo 156 is available in sedan body and “Break” farm with seven engine configurations and went through two facelifts in, first in 2002 and second in 2003. The advertising campaign was made with Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta Sport wagon .
The Alfa Romeo 156 saloon was discontinued at the end of 2005 in Europe, Crosswagon four-wheel drive Q4 held in late 2007. The 156 was replaced with 159, which also spawned the Brera, the two door coupe that replaces the Alfa Romeo GTV along with its convertible sister the new Spider.
Alfa Romeo 156 2002 facelift (Frst Series)
2002 also saw the arrival of a face-lifted interior with different matte surfaces and chrome accents.
